Terms And Conditions
Security Deposit
This is a Refundable security deposit of up to Rs 1000 to 5000 which will be charged. During limited-period offers, this amount might be lower.
It will be refunded within 10 bank working days of the booking's end time, post verification of Fastag charges and traffic violations. Please note traffic violations will be reflected in the government portal after 3-4 days of the booking’s end time.
Pricing Plans and Extra Kms Charges
Based on customer requirements we are providing multiple kilometer packages. The total kilometer limit for your booking is determined by multiplying the duration of your booking with the hourly "Kilometer limit" of the pricing plan that you select.
If extra kilometers are driven than the total limit of your booking, the additional kms attract "extra kms charges", which vary by the car model and the city.
Fuel Reimbursement
Kindly note all our kilometer packages are without fuel. There will be sufficient fuel and we request you to return the vehicle with the same fuel level.
In case of excess fuel returned, to qualify for a fuel refund, the customer should provide more than 20% compared to the trip start fuel percentage along with the vehicle number at the time of drop off. Kindly note we will NOT be able to reimburse fuel bills shared with us later.
The fuel expense needs to reconcile reasonably with the standard fuel efficiency of the car. For the purpose of this reconciliation, we assume a lower mileage than what is defined by ARAI. The date on the fuel bill should fall within the booking period. Hand-written fuel bills will be considered invalid.
Cancellation and Charges
Customers can cancel the booking subject to the following conditions. A cancellation refund will be done through the original payment method within 10 bank working days.
- Informed 24 hours prior to booking start: 70% of the amount will be refunded.
- Failed to inform 24 hours prior: No-Refund will be done.
Rescheduling
Rescheduling must be informed 24 hours prior to the booking start time. Changes are subject to car availability.
- We will not be able to pre-pone (pre-pound) the booking start time.
- The duration should be the same or more.
- The kilometer package cannot be changed.
- Tariffs might differ based on weekday and weekend charges.
Extension and Extra Hours
Customers should inform us 24 hours prior to the booking end time for extensions. Confirmation is based on car availability.
- Extension duration should be at least for 6 hours.
- Customers are eligible to avail 1 hour buffer time on every booking end time.
- If informed Post 1 hour buffer time: Extra hour charges will be Rs 250/hour.
- If not informed Post booking end time: Extra hour charges will be Rs 400/hour.
- Customer should share the complete video of the car.
Swapping Vehicle
Customers should inform 24 hours prior to the booking start time. This applies based on car availability and charges might differ depending on the car type.
Over Speeding
Speed limit is from 80 to 100 Kmph. In case the customer exceeds the 100 speed limit, you will be charged INR 500/- for each violation.
Vehicle Damage & Accident Policy
Negligence
Customers are responsible when not in compliance with laws/terms or if found under the influence of alcohol/narcotics.
Accidents
In occurrence of vehicle damage, the customer shall be solely responsible for all such loss regardless of cause.
- Event of accident: Customer is liable to pay a maximum of ₹50,000/-. The customer will need to pay a damage fee equivalent to the repair estimation quoted by an authorized dealership along with Downtime losses (rent for equivalent number of days taken to repair).
- Damage exceeds ₹50,000: A comprehensive insurance will be claimed. The estimation difference amount will be borne by the customer and Downtime losses will apply.
- Total Loss: Comprehensive insurance will be claimed. Any estimation difference, Parking charges, etc., will be borne by the customer along with 3 months downtime losses due to the claim process.
- User Negligence/Drink and Drive: Full cost will be paid by the customer.
Discretionary Exceptions
In situations of irresponsible, unsafe, or negligent usage, the Customer could be liable for all damages irrespective of insurance claims. Such situations include, but are not limited to:
- Continuing to drive when the vehicle is performing abnormally (Consequential damage).
- Beach/Off-road drive: Prohibited. Compensation of Rs 8000/- in addition to other damages.
- Using vehicle for purposes prohibited by law.
- The person driving is different than the one who made the booking.
- Exceeding standard seating capacity.
- Failure to pay inter-state tax when entering a state.
- Misrepresentation of information in driving license/ID proof.
- Evidence of extremely rash and negligent driving.
- Violation of traffic rules or Motor Vehicles Act.
Cleanliness and Maintenance
9 Drive Cars conducts periodical checks. We expect customers to help maintain cleanliness. The following will attract penalties deducted from the Security Deposit:
- Use of chewing gum, tobacco, or tobacco-based products inside the vehicle.
- Burning of any substance (cigarettes, incense sticks, medication/drugs).
- Visible fabric stains internally or torn fabric.
- Pets inside the vehicle (if not allowed).
- Presence of sand or excessive mud inside the vehicle.
The Company reserves the right to block, penalize, or fine the Customer at our own discretion in the event of non-compliance.
Interstate Trip
Customers are responsible for paying all tolls & state permits. 9 Drive Cars vehicles are registered with an all-India Permit.
Please stop at the border RTO check post to obtain a valid state permit by paying relevant charges. If planning to go to other states, inform customer care to allocate a vehicle with a valid permit. If not available, the Customer must pay the fee and obtain the state entry permit.
Fastag
RFID FASTAG features are available for hassle-free trips on national highway tolls. Customers should recharge Fastag based on trip duration using PhonePe/GPay/Paytm and share the transaction receipt with our executive at drop time.
If the customer utilizes the Fastag balance without recharge, we will charge double the Fastag amount used. Since Fastag is not managed by 9 Drive Cars, we are not responsible for double charges or toll issues.
Towing Charges
In case of User negligence or accident, the Full Cost should be paid by the customer.
Personal Belongings
9 Drive Cars is not responsible for any damage to, loss, or theft of any personal property belonging to the user, co-passenger, or third party regardless of fault or negligence.
